MICHELLE HUANG

Michelle Huang is a visual and digital media artist born in the City of Vancouver and is currently living and working in Toronto, Ontario. Her interests range from digital to print media, as well as artworks that are a mix of both. She has also done several other works, such as installation art and sculptures. Her major visual artworks include The Mechanical Human Body (2020), Bridge (2020), Nature Beauty (2020), and Nature Disaster (2020). She has also created a number of digital artworks, including Finally, you found me (2020) and Miracle love (2020). As an art student, she received the Dean's Award for academic excellence in 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-2020 and received the Neil Hoogstraten Scholarship in Studio in 2019.
Michelle Huang is currently working on completing art projects for her mixed medium canvas and digital artwork portfolio. She creates digital exhibits for her artwork on her social media account on Instagram in her free time.

My project consists of two paintings and one digital art for the theme of mental illness and depression. The mediums I used are oil paint and digital art. Each of the artworks reflecting one element of the struggles that people who suffer from depression and social anxiety experience, as can be seen from figure 1 below, which (from left to right) contains my three planned artworks of "The Island of Depression," "Hope and Blooming," and "Anna":

This series consists of five artworks in total, with two of the artwork being digital arts while the other three being oil and acrylic on canvas paintings. The five artworks are created in a series to reflect the love between humans and animals through the story of the marathon runner Dion with his newest companion Gobi the dog.

Finally, you found me, Miracle love
